Producing Music With Ableton Live – Part 1 of 4

Class Description
Ableton Live is as user friendly as it is powerful, and embodies the digital revolution that has leveled the playing field for the independent musician and producer. This class is ideal for the beginner to electronic music production, but experienced producers will also benefit from features and techniques they might not have known. The tools for sampling, and manipulation of samples, are as limited as the producer’s imagination, and this course will cover all of them.
In addition, recording techniques, proper EQing, dynamics, and spacial effects usage will be taught so that you have the potential to make your songs sound comparable to the leaders in their genre. Sessions can be taken sequentially for the beginner, or cherry-picked by the more experienced. Everyone has much to learn from the class, including the instructor.

Each session is 2 hours long, and there will be 4 sessions. Sessions are sequential, but attendees can choose which ones they will attend if the first 1-2 sessions are too basic for them.

Instructor Bio
Dave Clayton is a renaissance man in the music industry. He is adept at DJing, Producing, Live Performance, Mastering, Acoustical Design, and Instruction. His label, Natural Selection, has released two albums from his collaboration Clayton & Fulcrum. Music genres run the gamut of Top 40, Open Format, House, Bass Music, Drum & Bass, Nu Funk, Nu Jazz, and Nu Soul.
