Fire Dancing is a beautiful art that is becoming more and more popular these days. While it may be fun, it is also a dangerous activity. Enroll in this fire safety class and learn what it takes to be a safe and classy fire dancer, while also joining the New Community of Fire Dancers at the Idea Fab Lab!
Students will go home with an extensive “Fire Safety Check List” that they can refer to every time they burn.
Students who pass the small quiz will also be added to the “Fire Safe List” for Meg Amor’s future performances.
Meg Amor has been fire dancing for over 4 years. She has mastered many fire toys including single hoop, two hoops, poi, double staves, moon hoop, and fire top. She is also a fully insured fire dancer. As the founder of the Chico Fire Tribe and one of the Founders of the original Lumininjas, she has been a lead performer in the Chico Fire Dancing Community for 3 years. From the beginning, Meg has been greatly concerned with Fire Safety and continues to be a go-to safety for any and all fire events she attends. She wants to help every fire dancer in this community become a Safe Fire Dancer, because when you step into other fire circles in other communities, the most important thing to any other dancer is safety. Furthermore, as a known fire dancer in the community, she feels a responsibility to make sure we have safety as one of our tops goals in order to keep a good name for the fire dancers of Chico.
